Unsere neuen Lehrerinnen in diesem Schuljahr wurden bereits auf der Homepage vorgestellt – last but not least freuen wir uns außerdem unsere Fremdsprachenassistentin Sofia Patino-Duque aus den USA bei uns zu haben. Sie unterstützt die Fachschaft Englisch. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler bekommen so die einzigartige Chance mit einem „native speaker“ in Kontakt zu treten. Hier stellt sie sich selbst vor, auf Englisch natürlich!
Dear students,
My name is Sofia Patino-Duque and I am the 2021-22 Fulbright English teaching assistant for Nikolaus-Ehlen-Gymnasium Velbert.
Initially born in Colombia, I spent my childhood in New York before heading to Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, to complete my undergraduate and graduate studies. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies and History and a Master of Arts in German Studies. At Stanford, I was a part of the Stanford Equestrian Team and organized public service events with Stanford in Government.
As a part of NEG’s English Faculty, I am thrilled to support you on your English-learning journey and am excited to see your language growth during this academic year.
